Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakahtuh,
As head girl at Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra Girls School, I am delighted to welcome you to our school. As a representative of the student body, I would like to share a few of my experiences at HKKGS, insha’Allah this will ease your transition into our school. Even though it may seem scary and difficult to adjust to new surroundings and make new friends, the teachers and students are welcoming and approachable. When I started in year 7, I was very nervous, but it did not take long for me to feel like I belonged here and that was thanks to the students and teachers helping me along the way. HKKG is a supportive and inclusive community, where you can balance your Deen and Dunya and feel a sense of belonging.
While at HKKGS, you will have amazing experiences and opportunities. Since I have been here, I have had the chance to visit many different places; Warwick castle, Cadbury world, safe side, Frank chapman where we had the opportunity to do fun teamwork activities and complete a treasure hunt in the forest, and most recently we visited Newstead Abbey in Nottingham, where we participated in a creative writing workshop. Insha’Allah there will be even more opportunities for you to experience. During international day, each year group chooses a different country to research and represent, through display of plays and presentations as well as traditional foods of our respective countries. We also do many fundraisers for charities and for our school, students can take the lead and plan their fundraisers and raise money.
Don’t just take my word for it, come and visit our school and see for yourself. I hope that you will have as great of an experience as I have had at HKKG.
